This one of a kind bead embroidered bracelet brings together the captivating blue flashes of natural Labradorite with the earthy, artistic character of handmade Raku ceramic cabochons.

At the center is a large oval Labradorite cabochon that comes alive with brilliant blue flashes as it catches the light. Labradorite has a beautiful connection to a popular Inuit legend that tells of the Northern Lights becoming trapped within the stones of Labrador. According to a popular Inuit legend, an Inuit warrior tried to release the shimmering lights from the rocks, freeing some while others remained captured within the stone. The brilliant flashes that appear as Labradorite catches the light are often compared to those dancing lights in the night sky.

It is easy to understand why the legend became associated with this remarkable stone. Labradorite's natural labradorescence can reveal flashes of brilliant blue, green, gold, and other colors that seem to appear and disappear as the stone moves.

Smaller freeform Labradorite cabochons with blue and gold flash sit beside the large stone. At either end, two round Raku cabochons created by Maku Studio add a striking contrast. Their earthy metallic tones bring warmth and an organic quality to the cooler colors of the Labradorite.
