This one of a kind hand beaded pendant has found its forever home, but it remains an example of the custom bead embroidered jewelry I love to create.
At the center is a stunning black lip shell focal, formed from the iridescent inner shell of the black lipped pearl oyster, the same species known for producing Tahitian pearls.
The shell is framed with pearl cupchain and black and silver beads that enhance its natural luster. A hand carved mother of pearl flower rests above the shell.
The pendant measured approximately 2.5 inches long and 1.5 inches wide and was suspended from a stainless steel chain. As with all handmade jewelry featuring natural materials, no two pieces can ever be exactly alike.
